Why does it seem like while some people are dying on welfare others are thriving on their SSDI or whatever govt bennies for having depression or whatever excuses they use to say they can't work, with govt free housing or discounts on rent, free food stamps and cash every month for drugs and whatever they want all while not working
What am I missing here, is being a neet actually a secret life hack?

Can you be sued if you sign a contract to buy a house then decide to back out even if no deposit towards anything was made? asking for a retarded friend who's definitely not me.

What happens to the pro rata gains on Post-Tax contributions to a Traditional IRA?
2025-04-15 01:42:57 - Replies: 0
I now earn over the annual limit so I can no longer deduct IRA contributions on tax filings, and need advice whether or not to convert it to a Roth IRA.
My current Traditional IRA holdings:
>3 years of Pre-Tax contributions
TAXABLE
>Pro-rata gains on Pre-Tax contributions
TAXABLE
>2 years of Post-Tax contributions
NON-TAXABLE
>Pro-rata gains on Post-Tax contributions
????????
What happens to that final category? If it is taxable then immediate Roth IRA conversion seems to be the right call. If it is nontaxable, then converting does not really matter in the long term.

Why do all finance gurus become preachy dbags?
2025-04-15 01:37:55 - Replies: 7
I noticed a pattern with finance gurus like Coffeezilla pic related, Caleb Hammer etc. all starting off with fantastic videos full of educational value and they can hold your attention.
However, I noticed that once they hit that 100k subscriber mark or whatever, the ego curse instantly hits them and they turn into unfunny narcissistic preachy Jerry Springer wannabes. I can't even watch modern Caleb Hammer for more than 2 minutes without turning it off in disgust. It's not funny, it's not cute, he has that yuppy whiney entitled voice that reminds me of spoiled brats back in my high school days I absolutely despised. Coffeezilla and his stupid character he plays and his stupid fake background and his stupid condescending elementary level bullshit advice is a far cry from his older videos that were quite good (ie: his amazon fba video where he explains only the top .0001% or whatever of fba sellers make millions whatever that stat was).
I can go on and on about others like Graham Stephan and a few others but that would clog up this post. Anyways, why is this always the trend, why do finance gurus always turn into cringey main character preachy condescending asswipes and THAT is when normies decide to give them their full attention? I mean seriously, what the fuck man.

how can you become a multimillionaire as a normal person?
i'm 28 and i make 120k a year as an SWE. i'm never going to make big boy money just doing this.
what, i invest and get 7% returns? i buy property and rent it out? at best, i just no longer have to work.
it seems like there are really only two options. either gambling with leveraged stocks / crypto, or starting a business.
starting a business feels like i have a better chance because i could potentially succeed by my own abilities, rather than luck.
i'm not talking about dropshipping on amazon or buying a food truck. probably some sort of software, and i have some ideas.
i don't know. i can't really talk to that many people in real life about this. i've spoken with some friends who are intelligent and maybe could go in with me, but none of them have experience actually making this happen.
what do you think? how hard is it to make it?

The inflation rate is lowing at an accelerating pace. This can only happen to an economy in serious decline and is contracting at a rapid pace. Better buckle up, the next great depression is just getting started.
