From robotic companies being publicly traded, this is being named the most, yet why? Their products consist of Quadropedal- and Bipedal-robots. Quadropedal, I can see being amazing at traversing terrain aiding specialists in recovery, surveillance and military, but there have been other forms of motion being used for search&rescue missions where biomechanic limbs arent necessarily needed e.g the movement of a slug/octopus, which can squeeze through rubble and debris to find the injured and lost.
Bipedal-robots in contrast are inefficient. The only use I can see for these types is psychological comfort for people of all age groups, possibly also penitentiary systems to communicate and deal with hostile prisoners, while also not dehumanizing them further by reducing lack of humanoid-interaction. But the most promising use of Bipedal-humanoid-robots is sex-robots. This is the only case in which I would invest in a humanoid robotics company, since the other use cases will see minimal use and not truly bring a company any real revenue, other than maintenance service.
