I manage a small department and work alongside while managing a small group of professionals day to day. I am two weeks into my position. I am not necessarily insecure or doubting myself when it comes to achieving the work objectives daily/weekly, but I am eager and notice I have been coming off somewhat hot/cold with my team

How and what should I focus on to help avoid or manage minor insubordination while the team transitions into new leadership while also completing the goals set before me by upper-management?

I want to be relaxed and easy going while still maintaining control over my team so that they do their jobs thoroughly and properly. I've already had some minor breach of trust and insubordination from a small group of the team I manage not even a full 2 weeks into the role. How do I stop the infection from spreading, as well as dealing with the extra stressors, of my underlings trying to underline my leadership and authority while still accomplishing the goals expected of me by upper-management?
