This game is easy if you have money. I will retire within the next few years. Imagine you can double your entire networth with minimal risk within a few years. I am a 21yo slavshit student and I will be inheriting 150k euros.
There is a specific scenario where I might end up with money in the high 200s (Older family member is also inheriting a similar amount and might want me to hold onto it and pay her rent from it, or roughly something like that) but that's speculative right now, and I still would not call it mine either way

A ~200k coin I'm in is about to burn over half its supply following a DAO vote. Doesn't matter about the details, but those tokens were previously going to be claimable by people and now they will be burned.

In theory, if the market agreed it was worth 200k, should the price per token double when the supply halves? But this still requires people to physically buy it, doesn't happen by itself.

what's the deal, what if they burn half the supply and price doesn't change? It would be illogical, but quite possible. Then we're saying "oh actually the market was wrong all this time and it was only worth 100k overall, we just didn't realise until today after they burned half the supply.

I’m a 1L student at a top 30 law school in the country, I was in the top 33% for my first semester GPA and I’ve applied to over 70 summer internships but I’ve gotten absolutely nothing. Am I screwed? I think its stupid to pay CEOs so much money.
Not because of some communist jealousy that they have too much money. But because I think that CEOs having so much more money than the common person divorces them from the reality of the purchasing power and purchasing decisions that a common person has. They do not have the empathy to ensure that their product is good value since to them they don't have to make the same purchasing considerations.

This concerns me because I think a lot of ceos are overpaid and providing less value to their companies and shareholders because they can't make decisions that can properly consider the purchasing habits of the common person. So are their executive decisions really based on reality or are they actually beneficial to the company.

I think the comparison to a real life example i would draw would be ww1 generals. British and french generals would live in villas far from the front line and not understand real battlefield conditions before making decisions that would cost thousands in lives and materials. And that the real successful generals like julian byng were guys who did their own frontline inspections, understood the experience of the basic soldier (that artillery wasn't cutting wire well enough) and were genuinely caring of their soldiers well being.

Too many ceos like to live in villas far from the front lines.
