I'm interested in becoming an MTA mechanic. I’ve heard the pay is strong and the unions offer good protection and benefits.

Any insight on how the process works or what to expect would be appreciated.

I honestly think I am. Or at least one major part of it. I try to ask questions and read the required documents but I still mess up. I've asked my manager for help but he re-directs me to different information sources and only steps in if there is a catastrophe.
