I have only purchased crypto coins on one occasion in my life, so I'm not exactly an expert nor am I a regular lurker here on /biz/. I bought $420 of Dogecoin in April 2022. Figured it might be a worthwhile payoff down the line someday given Elon Musk appeared to be loosely associated with DogeCoins and his reputation/status was growing exponentially during that time period when he bought twitter (btw this was before I even knew there was a difference between finite coins VS. infinite coins)

I suddenly find myself at rock bottom this week. How the hell do I even sell these things? My situation is urgent enough that I need to sell off all of them before tomorrow! What do I do? Who or what will buy my Dogecoins from me? Google is being vague here, so here I sit posing the question to you anon

One problem I've run into already is pic related. I'm trying to access my old wallet on Exodus using my PC with a 12 word username recovery. I can type in the 12 words fine and good, but have no options to move forward from there, as pic related indicates my only options are "Quit" and "Help". Neither of which are helpful. What would be helpful is a "Submit" button. Why the hell is there no “Submit” option in pic related? Is Exodus even a legitimate crypto-wallet app or a fucking farce? This is ridiculous

One final question, just out of curiosity. Should I've spent that same $420 on a different coin in hindsight? Google indicates I'm looking at approximately a 2:1 favorable payout. But if I bought $420 of Bitcoin or Fartcoin instead of Dogecoin in April 2022 would I be worth $420 Million tomorrow? Just so I can look back and laugh, which would've been the perfect coin to purchase $420 worth of in April 2022 and sell today in July 2025?

I was listening to this boomer, who I generally like and respect, talk the other day about pic related and how it changed the way he was looking at his retirement. As the title suggests, the book advocates spending down retirement savings with the goal of “dying with zero.” The argument is that money is meant to be spent, so dying with money in the bank is a waste basically.

As this guy (who is white of course) was raving about this book, all I could think about were his kids. It is mind blowing to me that many boomers are bucking the 100k+ years of precedent for families passing on wealth to the next generation. It’s white boomers specifically, as I have not encountered this attitude among other races.
