I'm not one of these Coffeezilla woke faggots hanging around that don't know what Rugpull is, in fact I was a big fan of this coin, I got in early and turned a negative account into a x5 profit.
I've been observing the system for the past 5 days.
Here's what I noticed:
1 - Trump will NOT talk about his coin. In a massive oversight by Eric the retard he named it after Trump. So the president has a liquid asset with his name on it that he can pump value into it by just telling people to buy. That would be a criminal conflict of interest.
2 - Just before Trump speaks on televised channels there will be a quick pump followed by a massive dump and this dump will persist through the entire duration of his speech.
The reason for this is quite obvious: Donald Trump has a lot of enemies, he's been nothing but antagonistic to people, he is hated by many. Can you imagine the repercussions of a liquid asset that will value EVERY SINGLE TIME that your enemy appears on TV, in a very predictable manner?
That would be a disastruous precedent.
The money being poured to dump and short this coin has been absurd, I've seen losses of 7 million just to hold the coin down.
You may think that their money will run out but you'll be surprised how long it'll last.
3 - Trump doesn't even know anything about crypto at all.

The only solution I see to this is abandoning this coin and creating a coin without his name, something that he can posture as a national asset, not a personal one. It'll still retain the capabilities of an uber meme coin with the most memeable person ever behind it, but it'll have less limitations. Also all the other cryptobros are super furious about the Melania shit and refuse to buy either of the coins. Making a new one that is introduced to them as a stable serious asset could get rid of this.

Well, it's official - I am killing myself. Someone on Uniswap listed a Melania coin with the same name and picture... and it was a fake. The last 48 hours I've been constantly checking on a fake, a scam. It was never going up, if it was real I probably wouldn't have lost 90% of my investment. I though theres no way it bottoms out, then i checked coinmarketcap, and holy fuck it was a fake. I'm killing myself today. It was nice knowing all of you. I've been a long time customer of centurylink, having some decent expirences with the service until o get a phone call from an agent letting me know that quantum fiber is available in my area, which sounds great except when I asked them if I was able to merge over my static ip I leased from centurylink to quantum fiber, they said it's not possible and it's no longer avaliable, which I said that's bullshit, they said I only have a certain amount of time to merge or lose service with centurylink and be forced on quantum fiber internet. So I've started digging around and found out that both centurylink and quantum fiber has slowly made there lease static ipv4 addresses no longer available for both centurylink services and quantum fiber(the centurylink merger). How am I supposed to combat this issue of losing my current static ip I already lease to a merger company with the same service but with only dynamic ip support that will cause me to randomly lose connection because of an ip change. The only reason I bought a static ip is to not have random disruptions for any of my services that I use. [For example, when i bought centurylink fiber and i had dynamic ip serviced, the disruption would be 7-50mins without internet when i'm watching movies. Just because the ip is changing.]

I'm trying to understand how all this tokenized asset stuff will play out on a more technical level.
1) So SWIFT will go "live", meaning banks will be able to connect and transact via CCIP using Swift SR 2025. So the tokenized funds banks/asset managers issue on their respective private DLTs (or public ones too) are not cut off from the rest (internet of contracts concept, ok). My question is: for example, if one tokenized fund is issued on Ethereum (as in the recent UBS experiment), will those tokens ever leave the Ethereum DLT? Will/could they be bridged to other chains via CCIP (like we see with the CCT standard)? Or will those tokens stay on Ethereum for regulatory or other reasons? I'm using Ethereum here just as an example, but this question could apply to any DLT really.
2) DTCC question. When stocks are tokenized, how would that work in reality? As far as I know, right now, stocks must be settled by the DTCC, and that's mandated by law (same with Euroclear in the EU). Right now the DTCC and other CSDs function pretty much as centralized databases. But when stocks get tokenized, would the DTCC have its own DLT where tokenized stocks must be settled by law? And if CCIP connects that DLT with the rest, I have the same question as before, will those tokenized stock tokens ever be able to "leave", so to speak, the DTCC DLT?
If anyone can shed light on these matters, I'd appreciate it.

in most securities markets value investing is the number 1 investing strategy. You can almost guarantee with quantitative and [relatively simple and predictable] qualitative factors whether or not a stock will go up in the long run and by how much (undervalued stocks & margin of safety)
it's not perfect but its track record is impressive

but value investing does not apply to crypto since there's no real value behind crypto, it's just a currency; a means of transferring value, not creating it. (gold is valuable since it creates computers, real estate is valuable since it creates homes for tenants, stocks are valuable since businesses create sustainable sources of income and potentially political power, etc...)

is there a proven and tested strategy that applies to crypto as well? A sort of equivalent to value investing?

in my opinion analyzing the tokenomics of a cryptocurrency and researching who would be most likely to use that currency are the closest thing to value investing that you can get in crypto [that I know of], however this cannot be the whole picture since Monero for instance is probably the most used cryptocurrency yet notoriously has been doing nothing but crab for years in spite of that.

I'm prone to believe that branding is the other missing factor to the equation, but I'd like to know what /biz/ thinks as well. Discussing topics like this one will also increase the overall quality of the board.

I understand where you're coming from but there's obviously a pattern to successful and unsuccessful cryptocurrencies. Monero for example managed to be fairly successful in spite of every Government and Corporation's attempt to stop it. So use cases - especially in the early days of a coin - can definitely be very useful
